Stars of Tomorrow Early Learning (SOTEL) is a full day child care facility located in the beautiful Steveston Village community in Richmond, British Columbia. SOTEL was established by qualified and passionate Early Childhood Educators who are well-trained and have years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. Our full day early learning program is well-designed for children aged 30 months to 5 years old, and is developmentally appropriate for different age groups.
SOTEL strives to promote and establish a strong foundation for children’s subsequent learning and development in physical, psychological, social, emotional, language, cognitive and intellectual competencies. Our enriched and comprehensive curriculum and educational methodology integrate both academics and fine arts components in order to enhance and benefit the valuable learning experiences for our children, and allow them to grow up to their full potential.
Children are exposed to a variety of learning experiences from academic subjects, extra-curricular activities, practical life activities, indoor and outdoor play, field trips, community walks, as well as free exploration. Our curriculum is also continually evolving as our Early Childhood Educators are highly involved in planning and improving our educational tools and materials, which provide children with opportunities to discover, explore, experiment and hence, develop their competency, independence and creativity.
We value and respect children of all ethnicity, religions and cultures. Children learn and grow through structured and unstructured play in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where individuality and uniqueness are celebrated, independence is encouraged, and self-esteem is built. Children are encouraged to express themselves and also provided with opportunities to socialize with their peers and learn socially acceptable behaviors, which fosters a sense of community and meaningful relationships with others.
